Overview

The Journal of Public Sector Governance, published by the Centre for Public Sector Governance (CPSG), brings together timely research and reflections on key governance challenges in Nigeria and across Africa.

The public sector remains central to national development but continues to face persistent gaps in accountability, leadership, and institutional capacity. This edition addresses these issues through four critical themes: strengthening integrity systems, bridging the gap between policy design and implementation, advancing ethical leadership, and promoting genuine gender equity in governance.

Collectively, these articles highlight that reform must go beyond rules and structures to embrace values, competence, and inclusion. The journal seeks to inspire practical, evidence-based solutions that build integrity, capacity, and equity across public institutions.
